Satisfactory Results Received in the 72nd Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (English Speech)
The 72nd Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival was organised in November 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic using the video submission mode. Nine of our students participated in the Festival. Everyone received a certificate of merit, with one student returning as the champion of her group.
Our school has performed satisfactorily in the Speech Festival organised by the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association annually. We have encouraged students to participate in solo and group competitions, and their performances have been highly commended.
This year, under the unstable COVID-19 situation, the competition shifted from live to online, leading to a decline in enrolment. Despite difficulties in training and video shooting, our students and teachers strived their best to stage a great show. Their efforts paid off, with all of them achieving 80 marks or above, receiving a certificate of merit. Among them, 2A Cham Hiu Lam’s well-paced, stylistic and energetic display was awarded first place.
Congratulations to all the participants and their teachers who devoted their time and effort to the rehearsals.
