In this Life Planning Workshop, each F5 student draws up a blueprint for their own life. They contemplate their futures in different aspects, such as studies, careers, wealth, love, interests, mental health, etc. By planning and “experiencing” their lives, they can listen to their inner hearts and strive for a fulfilling future!

Students are excited to make a trip to Anyan although it is just a virtual tour. What impresses them most is solving the mystery of Oracle bone script (甲骨文) in the Handicraft Workshop, where they are writing the traditional Chinese script on cups and learning the importance of the script in understanding Chinese history.

During the pandemic, travelling seems to be distant, but we have made it at STMC. Students go on a virtual trip to Xi’an (西安), learning its historical and cultural importance. What they enjoy most is the Terracotta Army (兵馬俑) Handicraft Workshop, in which they are making the army themselves!

The Dedication Ceremony was held smoothly on 24th July 2022. It was a joint event of the Boys’ Brigade of the Sha Tin Methodist Church and the Girls’ Brigade of our school. This year, we invited Rev. Dr. Li Ping-kwong to review our parade in the ceremony. Rev. Li showed appreciation to the dedication and enthusiasm of the leaders and members. In the prize presentation ceremony, Principal Cheung and the officers from the two brigades praised the unremitting efforts and outstanding performances of the award winners. Although the Boys’ Brigade and the Girls’ Brigade have different award systems, we both take Christian belief as the foundation to nurture the characters and leadership of our members and this ceremony is to remind them of their unique identities and show recognition to their growth. This year is a special year for our school Girls’ Brigade as the advisor Mrs. Yu, who has been devoting to the team since its establishment, is going to retire this year. We showed our heartfelt thanks to her and wished her a fulfilling and happy retirement life.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of The Methodist Church, Hong Kong, eight secondary schools under the Church co-organized a Joint-school Visual Art Exhibition with the theme "Fulfillment and Beauty" (豐盛姿彩) at our school’s Ample Campus. The theme aligns with the Christian value of leading a fulfilling and beautiful life.
Students' artworks show their concern over social issues, Hong Kong cultures and their inner sides, covering a variety of themes, such as the epidemic, Hong Kong memories, dreams, pressure, etc.
We hope the Art Exhibition not only displays the beauty of their artworks, but also inspires students to build up a positive life attitude as the theme suggests.

On Staff Development Day, we teachers visit World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Sai Kung Centre. After enjoying a cruise to see coral, we learn more about the selection of environmentally-friendly seafood. We wish to pass the knowledge and value to the younger generation so that we can all contribute to wildlife conservation.
