Chinese Culture Week
12 FEB, 2026

To foster students’ national identity and appreciation for our own culture, our school launched an inter-disciplinary Chinese Culture Week. The event began with an educational a talk on “Intangible Cultural Heritage”, providing students with a deep dive into this topic.
A highlight was the booths held by different subjects and parties, including Chinese, Chinese History, Science, Maths, English, Citizenship & Social Development, Chess Club and Religious Committee. Besides, all F.3 classes were responsible for their booths in promoting intangible Chinese heritage ranging from Chinese knots, flour dolls, seals to flower plaques.
There were also various activities at lunchtime, such as song dedication in Putonghua for students and teachers to share encouraging messages, and Lunar New Year snacks sharing for them to feel the warmth and festivity.
For arts and music, students could enjoy a mini concert with music performed on traditional Chinese instruments, and the performances of Putonghua Speech Festival winners and the Drama Club.
We were delighted to make this event happen with the efforts and dedication of students, teachers of different panels as well as janitors for setting up the venues. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of them.
